MAKATI CITY – November 9, 2005 In a special meeting
held at the SUNLIFE Board Room, Enterprise Tower 2, Ayala Avenue, Makati
City,SUNLIFE OF CANADA
(PHILS) launched its enterprise-wide Filenet Workflow Management System
for New Business with the Asian Business Solutions, Inc. (ABSI), the
Filenet Valuenet Partner in the Philippines.
The Filenet Workflow Management System
Project for SUNLIFE New Business Division aims
to significantly reduce the new business cycle time from 3 days to 1
day. The Filenet P8 Business Process Management and Content Management
Solution Suite will provide an online access to documents and real-time
tracking of application and servicing forms to SUNLIFE, thereby increasing
SUNLIFE’s business agility at reduced transaction processing costs
and errors.
Mr. Richard Lim, SUNLIFE Vice-President for Information Technology Management
Services, noted that “the whole SUNLIFE Organization is looking
forward to the launching and successful completion of the project, as
this forms an integral part of the SUNLIFE Straight Through Processing
(STP) Initiative to improve the current business processes. The Workflow
Management System for New Business contributes to the strategic direction
of the Company”.
On her part, Ms. Menchie Aragon, ABSI President, emphasized the importance
of a strong partnership between ABSI and SUNLIFE to deliver the essential
infrastructures on which to build SUNLIFE’s corporate competitiveness.

Together with the ABSI Project Team, the enterprise-wide Filenet Workflow
Management System Project launching was attended by SUNLIFE Officers
and members of the User and Technical Groups. The Project Manager on
the side of SUNLIFE is Ms. Ma. Josefina Nario, while Mr. Josua Gohoc
is the ABSI Project Manager.
